Volunteer opportunities abound at The Pearl S. Buck Birthplace!

Volunteer opportunities abound at The Pearl S. Buck Birthplace! We are always looking for tour guides, educational programs, research, historic gardening, and property care-taking. The Museum relies on volunteers to help keep our doors open and to aid in providing the best possible experience for visitors.

Volunteers benefit from working in an inspiring environment, can gain new skills and knowledge, and will find themselves meeting a wide range of people such as fellow volunteers and visitors. If you or your group are interested in volunteering short-term or long-term, contact us today for an overview of opportunities!

Donations are essential to funding our day-to-day operations, but they mean so much more. By purchasing a membership in the Pearl S. Buck Birthplace, or by making an in-kind donation, you enable us to create and foster programs that enrich the entire community and our state as a whole.

Did you know?

Pearl Buck is one of a very small group of American authors who have won both the Pulitzer and Nobel Prizes for Literature. This photograph was taken at the time she won the Pulitzer Prize in 1932. Also, did you know that the book she won it for was The Good Earth, which was later made into a Hollywood movie?
