Volunteer

The Pearl S. Buck Birthplace Museum, dedicated to promoting an understanding of early life of the Nobel Prize winner, invites those moved by her work to become involved in activities at the small historic house museum. We welcome contributions from volunteers of all ages and skills, in the Appalachian region and beyond!

Volunteer opportunities abound at The Pearl S. Buck Birthplace Museum! We are always looking for tour guides, educational programs, research, historic gardening, and property caretaking. The Museum relies on volunteers to keep the museum open as they provide an inviting experience for visitors. Volunteers benefit from working in an inspiring environment, can gain new skills and knowledge, and will find themselves meeting a wide range of people such as fellow volunteers and visitors.

For offering their time, the Museum is able to offer free admission for family members, store discounts, advance notice of special programs, free admission to other participating museums, and volunteer appreciation events. In addition, the training and interaction builds character in the individual as well as experience for those in the job market.

We invite you to learn more about volunteer opportunities by contacting the museum at (304) 653-4430 or by filling out the form below.
