Get Involved

The Pearl S. Buck Birthplace Museum, dedicated to promoting an understanding of early life of the Nobel Prize winner, invites those moved by her work to become involved in activities at the small historic house museum. We welcome contributions from volunteers of all ages and skills in the Appalachian region and beyond!

Volunteer opportunities abound at The Pearl S. Buck Birthplace! We are always looking for tour guides, educational programs, research, historic gardening, and property care-taking. The Museum relies on volunteers to help keep our doors open and to aid in providing the best possible experience for visitors.

Volunteers benefit from working in an inspiring environment, can gain new skills and knowledge, and will find themselves meeting a wide range of people such as fellow volunteers and visitors. If you or your group are interested in volunteering short-term or long-term, contact us today for an overview of opportunities!
